Meet MANAGING PARTNER, Brett Forman
Brett Forman has 30+ years of experience.
Brett founded Forman Capital, LLC in 2004 and, in 2016, Forman Capital entered into a partnership with a Canadian asset management firm. Brett was previously a Principal at Sylvan Ventures, LP (a joint venture between Apollo Advisors and Sylvan Learning Systems), a $350 million venture capital firm.
Brett spent five years in the retail business as President & COO of FEI, Inc. and County Seat Stores, where he concentrated on real estate and retail transactions when he worked in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions at Bear Stearns & Co.
Brett graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s, Wharton School with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in economics and a concentration in real estate finance. Brett served as Chairman on the Foundation Board of the Achievement Centers for Children & Families in Delray Beach, Florida.
Meet PARTNER, BEN JACOBSON
Ben Jacobson has 10+ years of experience.
Prior to co-founding Forman Capital, Ben was a Managing Director at the JV between Forman Capital and a Canadian asset management firm. Ben was responsible for the origination, underwriting and closing of real estate debt and equity investments.
Earlier in his career, Ben was an Associate at Cohen Financial (A Guggenheim Partners Affiliate) where he was responsible for the underwriting, financial analysis, credit analysis, and due diligence on debt and equity transactions. During his time with the company, Ben worked on over $2.3 billion worth of real estate transactions across all asset classes with specialization in multifamily, condominiums and mixed-use projects. Previously, Ben was an associate at Pebb Finance, involved in the underwriting, sourcing and closing of over $700 million of commercial real estate transactions in various phases.
Ben earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in business management and finance, Magna Cum Laude, from Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts.

SCOTT MEHLMAN, partner, cHIEF INVESTMENT OFFICER
Scott Mehlman brings more than 15 years of real estate finance, acquisitions, and asset management experience to Forman Capital. As the firm’s Partner and Chief Investment Officer, Scott is trusted with executing the firm’s overall investment strategy and overseeing all company investments.
Prior to joining Forman Capital, Scott was a Vice President of Origination for the JV between Forman Capital and a Canadian asset management firm, where he was responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing nearly $1 billion in financing throughout the capital stack.
Throughout his career he has acquired, managed and/or divested more than 10,000 residential units.
Scott earned his degree from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina--Chapel Hill.
HELLOIS SCHEERES, partner, cHIEF RISK OFFICER
Prior to joining Forman Capital, Hellois was a Director of Asset Management for the JV between Forman Capital and a Canadian asset management firm. She brings extensive experience in development and construction of commercial real estate from inception to delivery. As the firm’s Chief Risk Officer, Hellois is responsible for the overall management and monitoring of all assets under construction as well as operational assets.
Hellois was a senior consultant and Director in her field for over 20-years, with leading development services and construction management consulting firms in South Florida and Europe.
Hellois earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Economy and Project Management at the University of Pretoria, South Africa as well as a MSc in Facilities/Asset Management at Herriot Watt University, Edenborough. Hellois is a Professional Member of the Royal Society of Chartered Surveyors.

Ty Regnier
VICE PRESIDENT, ORIGINATIONS & UNDERWRITING
Ty Regnier brings over twelve years of real estate experience in institutional banking, private equity, and asset management to Forman Capital. Prior to joining Forman Capital, Ty worked as a Senior Associate of Asset Management for the joint venture between Forman Capital and a Canadian asset management firm. Previously, Ty served as the Chief Capital Officer for a family office investing in multifamily, where he focused on capital raising initiatives and new investment underwriting. Ty spent eight years at KeyBank, primarily in the Institutional Real Estate platform, providing corporate and asset-level financing for REITs and private equity funds.
Ty graduated from Kansas State University with Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Finance and Accounting.

EVAN BLAIR
ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT, ASSET MANAGEMENT
Prior to joining Forman Capital, Evan was an Associate Asset Manager at the JV between Forman Capital and a Canadian asset management firm. Evan was responsible for managing various loans consisting of commercial and residential real estate development, value-add investments, and residential land development.
Evan holds an MBA from Florida Atlantic University, with a focus in Finance and Entrepreneurship, and a BS from Florida State University.

Brice Shafer
ASSOCIATE, INVESTOR RELATIONS
Prior to Forman Capital, Brice was at Placer.ai, a unicorn start up in the analytics space. Brought on to assist in the launch of the finance vertical for the firm, he consulted with hedge funds, investment banks, and private equity/venture capital groups around the globe in an alternative data capacity.
Before joining Placer.ai, Brice was a Senior Analyst in the Debt & Structured Finance group at RIPCO Real Estate, where he focused on sourcing, analyzing, and executing on debt, equity, and structured finance transactions. Brice and his team specialized in arranging construction, bridge, and permanent financing nationally, with a focus on 8 and 9 figure deals.
Brice earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from the Honors College at the University of Alabama.

CAMERON FLEURY
ANALYST
Prior to joining Forman Capital, Cam held an Analyst role at a boutique debt brokerage in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he underwrote and executed structured capital solutions across various asset classes for clients nationwide. He began his career as an Analyst at a Chicago-based real estate investment firm, where he helped identify over $125 million in new commercial real estate investments.
Cam earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University. -
DANIEL KELEHER
JUNIOR ASSOCIATE, ASSET MANAGEMENT
Prior to joining Forman Capital, Daniel held key roles across capital markets, pricing strategy, and portfolio management. Most recently, Daniel served as a Sr. Strategic Pricing Analyst at DHL Express, where he led cross-functional initiatives to develop pricing strategies and financial models supporting global revenue growth. Before that, Daniel was a Capital Markets Analyst at Hamilton Home Loans, managing a loan portfolio exceeding $1 billion annually and driving performance through market analysis and strategic asset evaluations.
Daniel holds an MBA from Florida State University with a focus in Finance, and a BS in Finance from Florida State University.

Mike Rediker
ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT, ORIGINATIONS & UNDERWRITING
Mike Rediker is a real estate investment professional with a unique blend of experience across capital markets, development, and acquisitions. Prior to joining Forman Capital, Mike worked as the Director of Investment Sales at Wellington Realty where he focused on selling multifamily throughout Dallas. Before that, he was an Associate at TSB Capital Advisors, securing debt and equity for major student housing sponsors and executing high-profile transactions. Earlier in his career, he held roles in medical office acquisitions, luxury residential development, and data analytics.
Mike earned a MBA from the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina--Chapel Hill and a BBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

Daniel Botelho
SENIOR ASSOCIATE, ASSET MANAGEMENT
Daniel Botelho brings over 15 years of experience in real estate investment, development, and asset management across the U.S. and Brazil. As a Senior Associate at Forman Capital, he oversees portfolio performance, value creation, and risk management across the firm’s investments.
Prior to Forman Capital, Daniel was Asset Manager at Cardone Capital, overseeing a stabilized multifamily portfolio of more than 4,000 units in Florida and Texas. Earlier, as Investment Manager at RESIA, the U.S. subsidiary of Brazil’s largest homebuilder, MRV, he managed investment and asset management for 2,400 multifamily units through development, lease-up and operations.
Daniel began his career in Brazil, managing large-scale office projects for Tishman Speyer in São Paulo and Brasília. He later founded a boutique residential development firm and served as Managing Director at Castelo Plaza.
Daniel holds a Master of Science in Real Estate, Finance & Investment, from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning and Certificate in Construction Management from Florida Atlantic University.
